The European elections took part in Portugal on 26 May 2019.
According to exit polls, the ruling Socialist Party was way ahead with 30% to 34% of the votes.
The second most voted for party was the PSD, with 20% to 24% of the votes and the election of five to six MEPs.
The Left Bloc was third, with 9% to 12% of the votes and the election of two or three MEPs.
