The Minister of Environment and Climate Action said that the Government created the new €15 million programme to increase public transport outside the two metropolitan areas (Porto and Lisbon).
He referred to the Programme for Support for the Densification and Reinforcement of Public Transport Provision (PROTransP).
It has been foreseen in the 2020 State Budget and intended for “low density territories where there is a lack of public transport”.
